running together for a sustainable future.
Kindness for ourselves and the planet.
The Running Kind is an environmentally sustainable company dedicated to moving the sport of running to zero-carbon. We host zero-carbon racing events and provide easy access to resources for runners to learn about the environmental impact they each have as individuals and as runners, whether they are competing on the amateur or professional level. The Running Kind is committed to putting the knowledge and power to fight climate-change into everyone’s hands… and feet.
double the fun: spring forward & fall back
The Long Run will feature a give or take 5 mile loop around Jacobsburg State Park. The course takes you on gorgeous single track as well as some flat & fast gravel trails with about 450 ft of elevation change. Runners can complete one loop, or run as many loops as possible in 3 or 6 hours. This year we are bringing you two editions of The Long Run… Spring Forward & Fall Back. The original course will be run in Spring & in Fall we will run it backwards!
conquer the catskills
Climb It For Climate is back for another year in the Catskill Mountains at Belleayre! Sitting just under 3500ft, this formidable mountain offers epic views of the stunning Catskill High Peaks around every turn. Runners participating will have the option of a 25K or an 8K. bring on the end of the world!
IC'mon Armageddon is designed to test runners through difficult, technical terrain. Located in northern NJ, these mountains will provide the home for the toughest race we offer. The course will take runners through boulder fields, river crossings and up mountain peaks to some of the best views in the state, including the New York City skyline! You can choose to take on nearly 7000 ft in the 50K or, new this year, a 5 Mile or 10 Mile course!
take on the night
Grab your headlamp & let's hit the trails! The Running Kind presents a rugged nighttime event, Blackout! This 10K course will traverse the technical, mountainous terrain covering over 1000ft of vert at South Mountain in Emmaus, PA. In 2025, there is also a Light’s On edition for those that do not want to run in the dark. Blackout will start at sunset and we will take on the night!
